Fundamental Arabic Drumming and Zills with drummer / dancer Kristnh!           Tuesdays             7-8pm                     Beginning Level                           Kristnh Fundamental technique for Arabic drumming and zills.  A class for drummers AND dancers!  Learn the essential fundamentals of Arabic drumming including music theory, technique and most commonly played rhythms in Middle Eastern music. Dancers will learn to identify rhythms and play appropriate zill patterns for utmost musicality!   Kristnh has been playing music nearly  all her life.  Shortly after discovering a deep love of bellydanceshe began her Middle Eastern muscial training on violin.  A few years later she stumbled into a drum class and never looked back. Kristnh currently dances with tribal fusion troupe Znama, folkdance company Layalina, and plays dumbek and riq with percussion ensemble Rhythm and Muse. Kristnh's passion for the art runs deep and she rocks a drum solo from either side of a dumbek.
