Kim Palmer had no inkling that her first tribal belly dance class in 1996 would lead to such a deep love and devotion to this beautiful art form. Like many of us, she began as an American Tribal style dancer who ventured forth into the exciting vein of Neo-Tribal, fulfilling her life long love of dance and dream of becoming a dancer.
She began performing with Portland troupe, “Lost Ghawazzi” a year after she started dancing and has been with The Circle Dance company since it’s inception in 1999.
Neo-Tribal belly dance and “The Circle” has deepened Kim’s technique as well as provided a space for her unfolding creative expression. Kim teaches Neo-Tribal belly dance and also directs “The Circle’s” student troupe, “Mandala” and is excited to share this healing and inspiring dance with you.
